New Year’s Day!
I love New Year’s Day because it reminds me of new beginnings, a clean slate, and a fresh start. This morning when I stared down at my blank prayer journal, I wrote:
“Lord, you make all things NEW, including this new day…new year…new page…and a new chapter of my life. What will you write in the chapter of my life this year? Only you know Lord! But, I’m ready with tissues, buttered popcorn, and Diet Coke. I’m ready Lord, to watch you display your glory! I love you too Lord.
All the more!

Below are some of my favorite new verses for the New Year!

His mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:23 NIV)
Behold, the former things have come to pass,
Andnew things I now declare. (Isaiah 42:9 NIV)
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)
The nations shall see your righteousness,
And all the kings your glory,
And you shall be called by a new name
That the mouth of the LORD will give. (Isaiah 62:2 NIV)
For behold, I create new heavens
And a new earth,
And the former things shall not be remembered
Or come into mind. (Isaiah 65:17 NIV)
I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.
And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh
And give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26 NIV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)
Happy New Year!
